The CPX-1 is a hammer fired, double-action only, semi-automatic pistol with a 10+1 capacity. The barrel is made from tough bar stock steel and the slide is made from billet stainless steel. The receiver is machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum. Zytel polymer, with ergonomic finger grooves and integral recoil cushion back-strap make up the frame. In addition to a manual safety, the CPX- has a consistent 9 lb double-action trigger pull and an inertial firing pin which only moves when struck by the hammer.
